The University of Belgrade, Faculty of Mechanical Engineering, recently hosted João Pedro Taborda, Vice President for Government Affairs at Embraer, one of the world’s leading aerospace companies. The distinguished guest was welcomed by the Dean, Prof. Dr Vladimir Popović. The meeting was also attended by Vice Dean for International Cooperation and Development, Prof. Dr Maja Todorović, Vice Dean for Finance, Prof. Dr Aleksandar Grbović, and Prof. Dr Marko Miloš. During the discussions, participants explored potential directions for future collaboration between the faculty and Embraer. The faculty’s educational, research, and engineering capacities were presented, along with opportunities for cooperation in areas of mutual interest. The University of Belgrade, Faculty of Mechanical Engineering, and TOYO Tire Serbia have signed an Agreement on scientific and technical cooperation, laying the foundation for the development and enhancement of mutual collaboration. The agreement was signed by the Dean, Prof. Dr Vladimir Popović, and the CEO of TOYO Tire Serbia, Mr. Tomohisa Yamaguchi. The signing ceremony took place during the visit of a five-member delegation from TOYO Tire Serbia, which, in addition to Mr. Yamaguchi, included Mr. Aykut Gidergi (Chief Operating Officer – COO), Mr. Akito Tanaka (Deputy Plant Manager), Mr. Kengo Sasakura (Chief Financial Officer – CFO), and Mr. Aleksandar Petrić (HR Manager). Students of the University of Belgrade, Faculty of Mechanical Engineering, enrolled in Master’s programmes within the Process Engineering and Environment Protection Module, Thermal Power Engineering Module, Thermal Science Engineering Module, as well as third-year Bachelor students attending the course “Processes and Equipment in Environment Engineering”, recently visited the Vinča Waste Management Centre.
