First-year Master’s students enrolled in the Material Handling, Constructions and Logistics module at the University of Belgrade, Faculty of Mechanical Engineering, recently visited the logistics and distribution centre of Milšped d.o.o. in Krnješevci as part of the course Transport and Logistic Systems Design. The aim of the visit was to familiarise students with modern logistics technologies, warehouse system organisation, and the practical application of logistics processes. During the tour of the center, students had the opportunity to learn about warehouse operations, systems and subsystems, storage equipment, mobile logistics equipment, modern technology for storing and picking small parts, the sorting system, customs brokerage services, as well as the application of WMS software solutions in warehouse process management. As an example of successful cooperation between academia and industry, the Department of Thermal Science Engineering of the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering, University of Belgrade, together with Weishaupt d.o.o. Belgrade, organized an attractive and unique professional presentation for students. The Weishaupt Infomobile, a mobile exhibition space showcasing state-of-the-art thermal engineering solutions, was set up on the plateau in front of the Faculty building. During the presentation, students were introduced to the tradition, technological development and innovations of Weishaupt, as well as its extensive product portfolio in the fields of combustion technology and heating systems. The Faculty of Mechanical Engineering in Belgrade ceremonially promoted another generation of engineers ready to transform their acquired knowledge and skills into future projects, industrial development and technological innovation. Diplomas confirming the completion of Master’s academic studies and the academic title of Master of Science in Mechanical Engineering were awarded to 118 graduates, while 50 students who had completed their Bachelor studies received the professional title of Mechanical Engineer.
