As an example of successful cooperation between academia and industry, the Department of Thermal Science Engineering of the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering, University of Belgrade, together with Weishaupt d.o.o. Belgrade, organized an attractive and unique professional presentation for students. The Weishaupt Infomobile, a mobile exhibition space showcasing state-of-the-art thermal engineering solutions, was set up on the plateau in front of the Faculty building.
During the presentation, students were introduced to the tradition, technological development and innovations of Weishaupt, as well as its extensive product portfolio in the fields of combustion technology and heating systems. Particular emphasis was placed on practical demonstrations of the equipment installed inside the Infomobile, allowing future engineers to gain first-hand insight into the advanced functions and technical characteristics of modern heating systems.
Through direct interaction with company representatives, Managing Director Saša Ilić and Sales engineers Bojan Vasiljević and Vjekoslav Marinović, students had the opportunity to learn in detail about the operating principles, applications and advantages of the WSB 8-A-RME air-to-water heat pump, the WGB 8-A-MD water-to-water heat pump, and the WTC-GW 15-C Ausf. W gas condensing boiler.
Particular attention was drawn to the gas condensing boiler, whose main advantage lies in its ability to operate using different types of gas, including 100 per cent hydrogen (H2). In its standard configuration, the Weishaupt Thermo Condens® C system is suitable for natural gas, biogenic natural gas, liquefied petroleum gas (LPG), biogenic LPG, and natural gas containing up to 20 per cent hydrogen by volume. The system can also be additionally adapted for the use of 100 per cent hydrogen as an energy source. The condensing boilers are available in outputs of 15,25 and 32 kW and are intended for use in single-family, two-family and multi-family residential buildings.
