The Faculty of Mechanical Engineering in Belgrade and the conventional software company KISSsoft AG have successfully renewed their collaboration, enabling students to gain direct access to one of the leading software tools for transmission system and gearbox design – KISSsoft®.
For educational purposes, KISSsoft AG has granted the faculty 40 five-year licenses for the use of this software. These licenses are primarily intended for students enrolled in the “Design in Mechanical Engineering” module, within the course “High-speed Machine Design”, but the software is also available to other interested students and faculty members for use in their respective courses.
KISSsoft AG developed KISSsoft® as a comprehensive tool for the calculation of individual machine elements, as well as complex subassemblies and systems, including gears and gear pairs. The software is primarily used for the design of transmission systems and gearboxes. It is based on international standards and established engineering calculation methods from professional literature, combining both analytical and numerical approaches.
This software solution is widely applied across a broad range of industries, including automotive, wind energy, agricultural and heavy machinery, robotics, and aerospace engineering, among others. Recognised by power transmission experts for its high usability, it has maintained a leading position in the global market for years.
