The Erasmus+ project “ACE – Alliance for Community Engagement in European Higher Education”, co-funded by the European Union, has successfully entered its third year of implementation.
The ACE project aims to strengthen the role of higher education institutions in addressing societal challenges across Europe by fostering active and responsible engagement of the academic community with society. Through the establishment of peer-to-peer learning alliances, academic staff have the opportunity to develop and exchange strategies and practices that contribute to creating more inclusive, connected, and socially engaged higher education.
In accordance with the planned project implementation schedule, all objectives set for this stage have been achieved. Among the most significant results are two guides intended for higher education institutions and their community partners:
- European University Community Engagement Guide
- ACE Guide to Forming University-Community Alliances
Both documents are publicly available and serve as resources for higher education institutions, academic staff, and other stakeholders interested in strengthening community engagement and university-community collaboration.

The work on the European University Community Engagement Guide and the ACE Guide to Forming University-Community Alliances will continue beyond the official completion of the ACE project. Both guides are intended to remain living resources that will be further developed and refined in response to the experiences, feedback, and suggestions of the academic community and other relevant stakeholders.
We warmly invite you to share your comments, suggestions, and ideas for further improving the guides. Your experiences and perspectives can help ensure that these resources remain practical, relevant, and responsive to the evolving needs of higher education institutions and their community partners.
You can contribute to this ongoing process by completing the ANONYMOUS online questionnaire and sharing your feedback and suggestions. Your input will help shape the future development of the guides and support their continued relevance and usefulness beyond the lifetime of the ACE project.
Your Feedback Is Welcome!
